If the assembly is created in an unexpected direction, just right click it and choose reverse assembly from the PB3 context menu.  It is impossible for PB3 to guess the direction of the assembly.  You can also use the Path Select tool to tell PB3 the proper direction of the path.

The assembly thumbnail will be saved using the same camera view orientation as the current SU camera.  So if you want a Top-Down view for example, first switch your SU camera view to Top-down and then click the thumbnail to refresh it.

    Hi Dale,

I know about the reverse methode. But it is more the why. Why is PB changing of heart when there are more than one path shape selected? Why at selecting two or more path shapes it changes direction? Are they internal connected?

This question is not answered "If you look at the picture, you can see that the preview in the Assembly inspector has the correct result, but in the model space not. How come? " Is this a bug?

I did read that before, however. The thumbnail isn't working, it shows a spinning beachball for a few seconds and then nothing.

It could be a bug.  It is strange that the direction would not be the same in both situations.  I've never seen this behavior before.

If the thumbnail for an assembly isn't working, please send it to me for testing.  You can submit a new support ticket and include the assembly as an attachment if you wish.
