Very excited to find this plug-in. Gutted its still in development.

Been Detailing small to medium size steel buildings in SU for several years (residential & commercial). I have built a library of accurate steel members and connections, have worked out part/assembly numbering and produce BOM lists. So I can work around all those issues.

What I need in order to take on bigger projects (more assemblies) is the semi automated part and fabrication drawings. Using native SU tools, I'm currently limited to jobs with a maximum of 10 columns, 10 beams + associated parts. That is without expanding my current SU/LO templates. But honestly, using the native tools, the bigger jobs would take me too long, so we outsource that detailing.

  Good afternoon, Nigel. my name is Alexander, I am a civil engineer and also engaged in steel structures. Are there any objects or models of yours on the Internet to see how to work in sketchup and layout? Maybe there is a desire to collaborate in the exchange of experience?

  Hi Nigel - it would be great to learn more about your workflow!  I'm glad to hear that there are people interested in creating automated part and fabrication drawings because this is something we definitely want to include as a core feature in DECAsteel.

  Hello,
  I am also interested in this plugin as I work exclusively in SketchUp and Layout. I often need to create a large number of metal structures and perform detailed drawings, as well as manage material specifications and cutting lists. Could you please provide or send trial versions of the plugin for testing in my workflow?

  Glad to hear there is still interest in this plugin!  We do not have a trial version available yet but we are hoping to release an early version before the end of the year so that we can start collecting user feedback and test the market.
