Profile internal color or pattern

Is there a way to set the material/color/pattern of the inside of a profile to be seen in section?

The attribute of material only relates to the outside of the profile

  Not to my knowledge. You can however, change the color of the back faces in the styles panel of sketchup. But this love will change those back faces globally in the model

  Thanks for the reply. That won't help. I want to be able to show the difference between different materials in section and in plan view and not to have to add a background polygon fill in layout for each wall individually. It defeats the purpose if materials can only be seen in elevation or renderings
