Irregular post spacing?
Here's the situation: We do design drawings for a railing fabricator. They use our drawings to obtain quantities and cut lengths for ordering and fabrication. In this case, we've got a rather lengthy straight run of railing. Normally, I would simply define the start and end points, set the maximum intermediate post spacing and let Profile Builder do the rest. However in this case, the post stubs (the structural elements the railing posts will attach to) have already been installed and they're spaced at irregular intervals. I assumed I could just consecutively click at each stub location and PB would place a post there, but nope. That works fine for corners, but when the assembly is all in a straight line, PB insists on working out its own post spacing. So I end up with posts that are evenly spaced but misaligned with the stubs. Is there any way to force PB to respect an irregular post spacing?
