California Corner Assembly
I'd like to build a wall assembly that uses a California Corner
I am using two components, a standard stud for the standard 16" spacing with placements at the start, junction and end; and a right corner stud for placement at the end of the butt-joint junction.
However, the right corner stud component is not placed at the end of the butt joint. Instead, it is placed about 1 13/16" from the end of the butt joint.
Changing the Pre-Right Junction Setback from "0" to a positive value moves the stud away from the junction. Changing the value to a negative number removes the stud altogether.
Is there a way to place a stud at the end of a butt join?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Certainly.
Also, here's a link to the full article.

If I was making this, I would create a component that included the two corner studs (maybe even all three). Axis position of the component is key. Ensure the axis of the component is at the proper location such that you can use a junction setback of 0.0 and the component will be in the correct position.
You will likely need a version of this component for right corners and another version for left corners. Adjust the placement settings (checkboxes) as required so that the component is placed at the correct corner (right or left)
