Industrial Handrail Build - how to do?

Hi, I'd like to build an industrial handrail much like the one available in the PB Library but in segments like the one in the following screenshot.

So far I've constructed in the following components: FrontPost, BackPost, TopRail, BottomRail, FrontD & BackD.

How do I get it to copy as segments instead of making the top and bottom rails continuous (profile members instead of components) like in the screenshot? Do I have to make the rails & D's a span or something else?

  You should be able to create that type of assembly by making the individual sections a 'sub-assembly span'.  Then user the hidden spacer technique to control the length of the sections.  Check out this video to learn more about the spacer technique.

  Ah ha! As Maxwell Smart would of said, "the old hidden spacer technique". I like it!
