A lot of steel we do are portals.   I was hoping to use profile builder 4 and then add baseplates and brackets with Deca.  What methodology do you think would be best to model portals ?

  Hi Stephen - Unfortunately, you cannot create the frame using Profile Builder and then apply connections in DECAsteel.  That won't work because Profile Builder does not have the necessary meta-data required for DECAsteel to create connection details.

  Do your portal frames use simple profiles?  Or tapered members built from plate?  If using simple profiles, why now create the portal frames using DECAsteel?

  Right now, there is no easy way to create tampered members in DECAsteel.
