Where is the subdivision setting?

I'm a beginner at Artisan 2.
How do I show the subdivision settings?
The sculpting settings are displayed when I select the tool,
but no matter what I do, the subdivision settings don't appear.
Please tell me.

  The subdivision settings appear when you apply the subdivide and smooth command to a selected group rather than a selection of faces.
