Can never get double cut to work

I have followed all the tutorials.  I cannot get double cut to work.

Heres my process.  

Create a window group from scratch. 

Create cutting plane component , (delete surface leaving just the outer linework)  add the window group to the component.  Cutting plane component glue to any surface and cut open boxes are checked .Green red blue axis oriented as per tutorials for both group and cutting plane.  Add to model wall and nothing happens.

  Hi Paul - can you share the component so I can test?  Make sure Double-Cut is installed AND not disabled.  Then, restart SketchUp and try again.  From your description, it sounds like you set it up correctly.

  Thanks for quick response. I guess i should modify description.   The cutting plane is created as a component and is at the top of the hierchy.  And it will cut sometimes.  So when  create door or  window  and then immediately attempt to place on a wall, sometimes it will cut and sometimes it wont.   I did notice if I pull a copy from the component tray it cuts.    I will upload model shortly
