Moving Walls with Cutting Components
I am looking for a method to adjust wall geometry and maintain proper double-cut cuts for doors.
I have tried creating the walls in their own group, and door cutting components outside the group. The door cuts correctly when first placed, but if the wall the surface the door is glued is shifted within its group, the door is left in its original position.
I have tried placing doors within the same group as the walls, with the walls as ungrouped geometry. When I move the wall surface, I move the door with it. I've had repeated issues with the geometry breaking using this method.
I have tried placing doors within the same group as walls, but moving only the wall surfaces, not the door. The door appears to move with the wall surface and continues to cut properly. But then if I move the door position on the surface, the geometry breaks.
I have tested this behavior with the default double-cut opening component, and the geometry appears to remain intact for use cases 2 and 3 above. Perhaps the issue has something to do with the cutting surface intersecting the edge of the wall geometry?
I would appreciate guidance on the proper workflow and model structure. Double-cut appears very useful but so far I have found myself needing to repair geometry repeatedly when making design changes.

Hi Jayla - I suggest that before you modify a wall, you could select the cutting components and disable double-cut using the toolbar button.
After making your change, reposition the cutting components, and re-enable double-cut (toolbar button).
If they don't cut after enabling, re-glue using the double-cut glue tool. Let me know if that works for you.
