Skimp crashing

Hello, I'm having a consistent issue where after I simplify a topographical model and am asked to purge unused components to reduce file size (and accept) sketchup crashes. Super frustrating. I am working on a 2020 m1 macbook air with a Monterey 12.4 operating system using 16gb of ram. 

Any insight into how to solve this issue is very welcome.

  Hi Gregory - Does it still crash if you choose 'No' to purging the unused components?

  Hi Dale, Yes it still crashes whether or not I purge.
