The problem of not implementing perpetual licenses is leaving non-recurrent users of the plug-in unattended.

I'd love to upgrade to version 2 but not at an annual fee. It makes it very difficult for small businesses or freelancers like myself who doesn't use it daily to justify our income. I have never considered any plug-in for any software feasible if there is an annual fee involved. It just piles on very quickly. I would much rather consider buying a perpetual license at a much higher premium price than having to commit to annual fee's because it makes it possible for us freelancers to plan long-term with lower committed expenses. Artisan 2 is a wonderful plug-in, one can clearly see it works extremely well and a lot of effort went into it to justify a whole separate license on it's own. I really hope one day perpetual licenses will be considered / available. The above is but my own opinion and doesn't necessary represent all freelancers.

I certainly understand the global move to subscriptions commercially, but it is difficult for small practises. I do have licenses where I can use them for a month if I have a job that requires them, and Autodesk do this, which is a great model for small business. I personally believe existing customers that have setup perpetual licenses with the intention of upgrading, should have a period of transition, even one upgrade would go a long way towards maintaining a business relationship with these existing customers. The Artesian 2 upgrade is a great product.

I want to cancel my subscription and I need to login to do so? I bought a subscription to Artisan 2 without registering but need to create an account to cancel? Please make the process easier. I also agree that a monthly subscription is very necessary. The whole world is going subscription crazy, and effectively locks out users who only use products infrequently.

Hi Ian - Sorry for any confusion.  Since Artisan 2 does not auto-renew your billing, there is no need to cancel.  You will not be charged again.  There is no need to create a My Licenses account in this case.  We will consider a monthly or short-term subscription option.  I think that might be a good fit for some of our products.
