Small offsets causing problems

On a path with multiple small jogs, it's consistently wrong the same way. On a counter-clockwise path, every small jog to the right is OK, and every small jog to the left is squished. On a clockwise path, it's the same but opposite direction.

One more observation: the molding miters are fine when using regular SketchUp "follow me."

Hi David - you can probably prevent this from happening if you create the bump-put portion as a separate Profile Member rather than having a continuous one throughout.  Visually, it should look OK unless viewed from behind.  If you send me a link to the model, I can show you what I mean.

Dale, that method does work, but the joint renders differently than others. No edges at the interesection and extra edges at the overlap:

    instead of:

Is this a known issue? No way to get the molding to draw properly in one go?

If you send the model, I could take a look to see if there are other workarounds.  For example, you could try performing a 'trim to solid' operation to generate the needed edges / joint.

I would say this is a known issue

The pictures are from a huge complex model but here's a simplified version showing the same issue.

OK, back up a step... how do I send you a model? I get a "You can only upload images (jpeg, gif, or png)." message when I try to add the .skp file to this post.
