Take offs

How to get take offs in my reports. say I have 2700' linear feet of  2 x 4  studs how do I get told how many 8 ' studs I need?

or bricks or block from sqf , I know how to do it myself but I wanted cost and take off in my report

Did I buy the wrong ext ?.

  Hi James - I would suggest creating a 'studs' layer / tag and putting all of your 2x4 studs on that layer.  Then, use the appropriate factor to convert from linear feet to studs.  That way, when you export a 'cost detail report' you will see the total number of 8 ft studs needed.  You can use the same approach for brick or block.
