Skewed Component

Newbie question.  What causes the component to be skewed (Jpeg 1)?  When I "reset skew" of the nearest component this is the result (Jpeg 2).  Thanks for the help.

  Hi Jerome - that assembly looks strange.  I'm not sure what caused the skew.  Only span components should become skewed when they are being generated on a sloping path.  Are those regular component parts or span components?

  Just regular comments.  I must be setting up something incorrectly.  I have another similar assembly and it does the same thing.  I used auto-assemble to create it.

  Hi Jerome - I did some testing and I was surprised that I could also easily duplicate this issue!  It is surprising to me because I don't think I have ever noticed it!

  The recommended workaround is to modify your assembly path so that there is a horizontal segment to transition between the sloping segment and the perpendicular segments.

  That seems to work.  If I leave out the horizontal segment (green line) it looks ok but when I reverse the path the problem re-appears.  So I guess the code must be using the previous line segment slope for its skew cue.  Thanks for your help.
