Additional ‘Tag Name’ Column in Tag Cost Data
I work with Quantifier Pro and use all the “Tag$” fields (Code, Description, Input, Factor, Unit, Unit Cost, Waste %, Tax %, and Comment).
Since I don’t explicitly enter the tag name in any of these existing fields, it’s difficult in the Cost Detail Report to trace which tag an element originally belongs to.
My question:
Is there any way to have the tag name automatically included for each line in the Cost Detail Report?
Alternatively, it would also be helpful if the “Tag Cost Data” had an additional column where the tag name could be entered manualy.
This would greatly improve traceability without having to manually duplicate the tag name into one of the existing fields or the comment field.
Has anyone already found a workaround for this – or could this perhaps be considered for a future update?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Simon

Hi Dale, thanks for your friendly reply!
To clarify my request:
I use Code to categorize expenses (e.g., First Floor / Second Floor) and Description to name the specific item (e.g., Foundation, Walls). The Tag name itself might be something like FirstFloorDoor. When I export the Cost Detail Report to Excel, I only see (Code, Description, …) but not the Tag(T), Material(M) or Object(O) name, so I can’t later tell which tag, material or object the line originally came from (e.g., (T)FirstFloorDoor, First Floor, Foundation).
It would be very helpful if the export included a Tag, Mateial or Object Name column (e.g., TagName, Code, Description, …) to improve traceability without having to manually search through different tags.
I hope my Explanation makes sense and my suggestions are helpful and not too demanding. Thank you very much for all the effort you’ve already put into your software – it’s highly recommendable!
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Simon
