Create a Profile from a Polyline

Draw a Polyline with SketchUp

1. Draw a series of connected lines. The lines must all be located on the XY or ground plane.
2. Select the polyline.

Tip: To control the orientation of the extruded faces, use the Smart-Path Select Tool to select the polyline.  When looking in the direction of the selected path, the front side of the extruded faces will be to the right and the back side will be to the left.

Open the Profile Builder Dialog

Click the 'New Profile' Button

Give the Profile a Name

1. Type the name of the Profile and Click OK
2. All profiles must be given a name.

Congratulations! You just made a Polyline Profile!
