This video demonstrates how to import various 3D infrastructure using PlaceMaker for Revit.
Roads and Paths (Revit Sweeps)
(Below information applies to all PlaceMaker data represented using Revit Sweeps)
Above we have the default style of roads and paths when they get imported. Represented by Revit sweeps to give a 3d feel to the model. However, depending on detail and tools at your disposal we also provide the road network edges as model lines.
These can easily be swapped between using the Graphics setting in the PlaceMaker Roads properties panel shown above.
Trees
Tree File: PlaceMaker gives you the option to swap the default tree file with any .rfa file of your choice.
Tree Spacing: This determines how many trees will be in a closed area labeled to have trees. To avoid overpopulating your model with trees keep this value large and only reduce it when needed.
