How to use Nearmap 3D Mesh Files

Nearmap 3D Mesh is a fully textured geo-data product from PlaceMaker derived from aerial photogrammetry. 

Since the release of PlaceMaker v4, this product is delivered as a ZIP file containing OBJ mesh files.

Once the files have been processed and delivered, you can access the data from the PlaceMaker history tab.

SketchUp PlaceMaker Plugin

• Click the import transaction in the history tab
• Click the Download button to import the data into SketchUp
• The PlaceMaker plugin automatically optimizes and geolocates the data for use in SketchUp

Revit

Revit can not import OBJ files. This data is not compatible with Revit.

Other Applications (PlaceMaker Web)

• Click the import transaction in the history tab
• Click the Download button to download the ZIP containing the OBJ data
• Import the OBJ files into your application
