For version 4, we had to completely rebuild how Google 3D imports work. As of the initial release of v4, the refine feature has been removed as we could not yet determine how to implement it using the new version 4 engine.
However, we do hope to re-add the refine feature in a PlaceMaker update in the near future. Until then, you can use this workflow as a potential workaround:
- Import a large area using a lower levels of detail.
- Open the PlaceMaker viewport.
- Create a small region at the location where you need a higher level of detail.
- Import this smaller region.
- Now you probably have the smaller higher level of detail overlapping the lower level of detail.
- Select and delete the overlapping low-detail tiles so that only the higher level of detail remains.
